“A Place That Never Existed” explores a world carefully crafted by Black hands, and showcases surrealism conceived through the Black lens. The exhibition features artists of different backgrounds, ages, and origins.
To flourish and present strength, beauty, and power through turmoil and the mundane, is the true definition of surreal. “A Place That Never Existed” conveys the Black imagination on another plane of existence, that can sometimes be idyllic or straddling within reach.
